Hi all, Yesterday I got a Nokia 9300I, and downloaded a demo of Talks to go with the phone.
With sighted help I managed to install everything, and the demo worked just fine.
As you might know, after 10 minutes, the demo times out, and you have to reboot your phone again.
Today I got a talks unlocking code from a dealer, as well as the latest version of Talks for my phone.
I removed only the "talks9500all_201_5.sis, but left the ScanSoft TTS Enu 6.1.47.sis file.
Then I installed the file talks9500all_299_10.sis.
After that, Talks wouldn't speak.
I uninstalled everything, reinstalled it agin, but still no success.
I formatted the phone, reinstalled Talks as well as the ScanSoft TTS Engine, but still no success.
I realise on my previous phone, I had to use "Talks off" before uninstalling an older version of Talks and installing a newer one, but the problem here is, I don't know the new phone really, and I can't find any installation notes/instructions on any installation for this particular phone.
Can anyone please help me, it's a very frustrating situation.

are your sure talks is running? sorry, had to ask that...
After the installation was "completed successfully", according to the displayed message, I had it enabled, and the entire Talks menu, including "Talks off" and "Talks on" are visible from the main menu.
So I assume Talks is running, yes.
Well the only thing that i can think of is that you haven't got your speech on in the talk settings:
On my n70, its: menu: my own: talks: speech: then scrole down the list of tts's that you have installed.
